Valuation Techniques for Hedge Funds

This course looks into quantitative methods of investment analysis from basic discounted cash flow modelling to more advanced valuation techniques that are extremely helpful in the alternative investment universe. Special situations will be explored, including business combinations, convertible bond arbitrage, financial distress and cross-border investments. The training relies heavily on case studies and interactive training techniques to add to the learning experience.

Due Diligence on Hedge Funds

This one-day course is suitable for investors (pension funds, endowments, hedge fund of funds and family offices), advisers, service providers and third parties who want to learn more about hedge fund due diligence. The structure of hedge funds and their investment management companies require a specific analysis, which differs from regular fund or company research. The course also includes case studies and exercises at the basic-to-intermediate level.

Regulatory Developments for Hedge Funds

This course provides a unique and valuable insight into the legal and regulatory issues applicable to hedge funds. It also offers pragmatic solutions and approaches to the issues identified. Delegates will find the benefits valuable, given recent regulatory developments.

Understanding Basel II

A practical look at Basel II for the operations department. There has been a lot in the press about Basel II from a risk management point of view but very little about its impact on operations. This course seeks to redress the balance giving operations managers and their staff an overview of the key points of Basel II and then looking in detail at the operational aspects. The course is very practical, looking at Basel II from the starting point of the operational processes with just an overview of the risk calculations. It also examines how operational risk can be reduced within a bank's securities operations.
